How to Use Muse AI
What Muse is
Muse is a free AI agent app from Meta, available on the App Store and Play Store. It does work instead of only answering questions. Give it a clear task, then check what comes back.
Setup in 15 minutes
- Download the app. Find Muse on the App Store or Play Store.
- Sign in. Follow the app’s sign-in steps.
- Give it a first brief. Start with one task and say what a finished result should look like.
- Check the result. Read it, check the facts, and correct anything that misses your brief.
The delegation formula
Brief with an outcome and constraints. Check the result. Correct once.
Short briefs get short answers. Specific briefs get finished work. Say what you need, what matters, and what to leave out. Check the result against that brief, then give one focused correction.
5 first tasks to hand off
- Morning brief: ask for today’s priorities from the schedule and tasks you provide.
- Inbox triage: sort messages into reply-now, reply-later, and archive, with a reason for each.
- Follow-ups: identify conversations waiting on someone else and draft a short follow-up.
- Research summary: turn an article or thread into five key points and one next action.
- Plan tomorrow: arrange your tasks around your meetings and protect time for focused work.
Common mistakes
- Vague briefs. Replace “help with my work” with a specific outcome and constraints.
- Skipping the check step. Review the facts and the result before using it.
- No clear done-state. Say whether you want a draft, a table, a summary, or a day-by-day plan.
